Getting Started

Create a ray-trace image of a certain view point

  1. Select a protein from the tree.
  2. Click on , to load the pymol session of the selected protein.
  3. Change the view point.
  4. Under the Images menu, click on Ray-Tracing.
  5. Enter a filename for the image.
  6. Click on Save.
  7. Wait for the ray-tracing to finish before using PyMOL.

Details

  • Ray-Tracing an image creates better results but can take a long time to render.
  • Ray-Tracing has different parameters that can be changed in the settings dialog.
